Hôm nay, ngày... tháng... năm...

Tôi tìm thấy người bạn đời của tôi.

Và tôi quyết tâm tìm cho ra... lý do vì sao cô ấy là the one của tôi.

Nhiều người nói là không nên tìm, vì tìm hoài rồi không có ra, mà chỉ ra toàn những thứ không muốn tìm. Nhưng tôi chỉ muốn biết tại sao. Tôi thích đặt câu hỏi tại sao, và đi tìm câu trả lời.

Những lý do vì sao cô ấy là người bạn đời của tôi.

1. Tôi thích đi bộ trên bãi biển bên cạnh cô ấy.

Cô ấy không đẹp tuyệt vời, cũng không chăm chút vẻ bề ngoài kỹ càng để làm thu hút ánh mắt của người khác. Cô ấy ăn mặc rất giản dị. Đôi khi xuề xoà. Bởi vậy mà cảm giác đi bộ song song với cô ấy trên bãi biển thật nhẹ nhàng, dễ chịu. Cô ấy nhẹ như không trung, vui vẻ và trìu mến như một làn gió, và ung dung, tự tại như thể tôi là một phần bước chân của cô ấy.

Và tôi không sao thoát khỏi nụ cười khi đi bên cố ấy trên bãi biển đầy cát và tiếng sóng rầm rì.

2. Tâm trạng của cô ấy thật phức tạp.

Cô ấy có lúc vui có lúc buồn, có lúc cả hai. Có khi cô ấy cố giải thích, nhưng rồi lại thôi vì nghĩ rằng tôi không hiểu.

Nhưng rốt cục, dù những tâm trạng của cô ấy có phức tạp tới đâu, cô ấy cũng luôn cười khi tôi pha trò để cô ấy vui. Tôi nghĩ cô ấy vẫn không bớt phức tạp, nhưng cô ấy biết tôi muốn cô ấy vui, và vì thế tôi sẽ vui.

Cô ấy biết tỏng ý nghĩ của tôi. Và kỳ thực nó đã hiệu quả, cho cả hai (tôi nghĩ vậy).

3. Cô ấy rất ấm.

Hơi ấm của cô ấy làm tôi quen dần. Mỗi khi đi xa tôi thấy nhớ. Không phải là da diết dai dẳng. Nhưng đủ để tôi đôi khi giật mình phát giác mình đang nghĩ về cô ấy.

Cô ấy có lúc hỏi tôi có nhớ cô ấy không. Tôi biết cô ấy chỉ hỏi để được nghe câu trả lời, chứ chẳng bao giờ vặn vẹo tôi thêm. Có lẽ cô ấy nghĩ rằng tôi sẽ thấy khó chịu nếu cô ấy vặn vẹo thêm những câu kiểu như: Anh nhớ em như thế nào? Nhớ nhiều bao nhiêu? Tại sao lại nhớ ít như vậy?!? Mà nếu cô ấy có hỏi, thì chắc tôi cũng sẽ chẳng có câu trả lời cho cô ấy. Tôi vốn dốt văn mà. Không thể nói bay bổng được.

4. Cô ấy không hoàn hảo.


Cô ấy vô tư vô tâm. Cô ấy hay quên. Cô ấy lười làm những việc tôi nhắc. Cô ấy thích những thứ tôi không thích và không thích những thứ tôi thích.


Cô ấy nấu ăn không ngon. Đôi khi, khi tôi đang nói chuyện với cô ấy, cô ấy ngồi chơi games hay làm cái gì đó và quên khuấy là tôi đang huyên thuyên một mình.

Mỗi khi cô ấy cáu lên, hay buồn, hay giận, tôi khó chịu không chịu được.


Và cô ấy luôn có cách nhỏng nhẽo để làm lành.

Những lý do chẳng không có cái nào giống cái nào. Nhưng hình như tất cả đều có điểm chung: cô ấy không hoàn hảo, cô ấy có nhiều khi trái ngược với tôi, nhưng cô ấy có thể làm cho tôi hạnh phúc một cách tự nhiên không cần cố gắng.

Trong cái thế giới ngập trùng những khó khăn, bất công, phức tạp này, có lẽ đó là lý do đơn giản nhất để tôi và cô ấy bên nhau.

Carrot cake delight

Yesterday, i enjoyed my weekend with a challenge: making a carrot cake. 
This is the first time I've made a carrot cake. It takes good... taste like home. 


Again, the recipe is from Food Wishes blog.

I didn't have time to make the topping so I just did the cake alone. I don't like nuts, so I took out the walnut ingredient and added in a teaspoon of orange zests. I also cannot take a lot of sugar, so i reduce the amount of sugar. And this is the result:

I had a craving for beef. Food Wishes has some simple recipes to suit my tight timetable. Today I tried this:


Minute steaks with BBQ butter sauce.

The turnout is great. I love the dish, and the sauce is excellent.

Food for the soul: the first recipe

Today I feel like eating a lot of fruit and salad. So I tried the Fennel and Orange salad recipe from The parsley thief blog.

I had all the ingredients for the salad, but I decided to try a different dressing recipe: a pink salad dressing from another recipe (Apple jicama coleslaw) from Food Wishes blog. By the way, the apple salad is a good idea too. I will try it next time.

a day in life

Walking through life is a journey, which consists of one day at a time.
When you woke up this morning, you were luckier than many people who cannot make it another day.
Then, you need to decide what are you going to do on this day. 
It is so easy to get caught up with so many unimportant things.
It is so tempting to enjoy things that you are told that you will enjoy, and forget about the rest.
But a day is short. And before you know it, everything always comes to an end. 
Keep it in mind: one day living is your biggest asset. And use it worth-wide.

Lessons of Life

The followings are what I've come across over the years. They are from many people's life experiences and lessons. I appreciate these ideas and try to live accordingly.

The lessons of life

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good
2. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone
3. You don't have to win every argument. Agree with disagreement.
4. Take peace with your past so it doesn't mess up your present.
5. Take a deep breath and smile.
6. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.
7. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
8. Whatever doesn't kill you really makes you stronger.
9. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.
10. Over-prepare. Then go with the flow.
11. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.
12. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.
13. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
14. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.
15. Your children get only one childhood.
16. Get outside everyday. Miracles are waiting everywhere.
17. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
18. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.
19. Forgive everyone everything.
20. Don't take yourselve so seriously. No one else does.
21. What other people think of you is none of your business.
22. All that trully matter in the end is that you loved.
23. Believe in miracles.
